Pool games: guaranteed fun for boys and girls aged 6 to 13

Summer calls for having fun in the pool, and an excellent way to do so is with games designed especially for boys and girls aged 6 to 13. We explain two classic games so that the youngest can have fun while enjoying the water, encouraging cooperation, healthy competition and fun under adult supervision.

The Underwater Treasure 

This game consists of throwing different numbered discs or submersible objects to the bottom of the pool without the children seeing where they are placed. Participants are divided into two teams and, in 30-second turns, must try to rescue as many of these discs as possible. The team that achieves the highest score wins the game.

Marco Polo 

This classic chase game is perfectly adaptable to the pool. One of the participants must wear a blindfold and must try to catch the other players by guiding themselves only by sounds. When they shout “Marco”, the others must respond “Polo”, giving clues to their location. It is essential to choose pool areas where children can touch the ground to ensure safety during the game.

Basic tips for safe pool games

Supervision by a responsible adult must be constant throughout the activity. Never leave the smallest children alone in the pool, even if it is small. Avoid games in depths that are too great for their age and swimming level.
